Image Generation and Processing

On-demand image generation and processing: branded templates, watermarks, text overlays and resized variants, produced by rules instead of by hand.

Some images have to be produced on demand: a listing photo stamped with the agent's name and brokerage logo, a sales flyer rebuilt after a branding change, a watermark on every image before it goes public, thumbnails in several sizes when a user uploads a photo.

IKRC builds the services that do this from templates and business rules. One such job takes a source image, applies text, logos and crop rules for the channel, writes the output to storage and records which template version produced it, so an outdated flyer can be regenerated instead of hunted down.

For .NET systems, licensing and performance matter when choosing an image library, and one platform detail narrows the choice. System.Drawing.Common has been Windows-only since .NET 6, and .NET 7 removed the switch that re-enabled it elsewhere. Image code that runs in Linux containers or on Linux hosting needs a cross-platform library such as SkiaSharp or ImageSharp, and older System.Drawing code has to be replaced before an image service can move there.
